QuickAlloy SMT1-L Alloy, 16.5 cm long

We use this alloy tool to change iPod, iPhone, iPad, dock connector, FPC connector, coil, resistor, wifi holder, battery connector (this alloy is what we use in most our repairs)

With this alloy tool it allow you will only need a soldering iron to accomplish surface mount repair easily which normally require heat gun, IR rework station and years of soldering experience.

This desoldering Alloy is used for removing surface mount chip, FPC/FFC Connectors

Description

Picture 6 lead free, cadmium free, RoHS compliant You are buying   30  X  piece of 16.5 cm long x 1mm in diameter of CyberDoc QuickAlloy  SMD Removal Desoldering Alloy bar Save Surface mount Rework Costs with

30  X   CyberDoc QuickAlloy  SMD Removal Desoldering Alloy

The concept is simple since normal lead or lead free based solder on the board have a melting temperature at 240 C Desoldering Alloy have a much lower melting temperature of ~57 C, therefore by mixing (dilute) the two alloys together you get a melting temperature some where in between and closer to 57 C. which allow you time to desolder complex surface mount component like FPC connector or socket connector off the board safely and effortlessly.   Regular lead based solder joint mixing with

CyberDoc QuickAlloy  SMD Removal Alloy= easy and safe surface mount board repair.

By reduce the rework soldering temperature This alloy will significantly reduced you solder rework soldering temperature. Prevent heat related damaged to the copper pads on board. Protect potentially heat damage to neighboring components or small chips.

Instructions (with soldering iron or heat gun)

  • Apply no clean flux to all leads.
  • Melt CyberDoc Alloy uniformly on all pins (you need the temperature to be high enough to actually melt the original leads at least once in order to get the desired result as described).
  • Maintain alloy in molten state long enough to release SMD component (or FPC connector).
  • Lift chip from board with a pick or tweezers.
  • You can use this to change iPod, iPhone, iPad, dock connector, FPC connector, coil, resistor, wifi holder, battery connector (this is what we use in our repairs)

CLEAN UP

  • While molten, use Solder wick or cotton swab and flux to remove excess to an unused section of board (Usually the middle of where the component was).
  • While applying heat, polish each pad with a cotton swab and flux until thoroughly clean.
  • At room temperature clean residue with alcohol.
  • You are now ready to install the new SMD component.
This alloy is recyclable and reusable for many repairs, simply heat it up with the soldering iron and you can reuse the alloy lump in your next repair job.     lead free, cadmium free, RoHS compliant
